Streakcontinuersareeasier tounderstand than streak
starters, so let’s consider them first. There are three
possiblecases for streakcontinuers:
1. Thecellon the leftof thestreakcontinuer (in thebig
road) is full,which inChinese iscalled
拍拍连
,which
literallymeans‘clapclapconnect’. Inotherwords, the
streakcontinuer is ‘connected’to thecell on its left.
2. Thecell on the leftof thestreakcontinuer (in thebig
road) is empty, but the cell above that empty cell is
full(inotherwordsthestreakcontinuerhasnowmade
thecurrentstreakpreciselyonehand longerthanthe
previous streak). InChinese this is called
一厅两房
,
whichmeans ‘one lounge twobedrooms’. The term
is logical: ifyou lookat the fourbig roadcells formed
bya square,with the streakcontinuer in thebottom
right cornerof that square, therewillbeonecircleof
onecolour in the top leftpositionwithanemptycell
below it (‘one lounge’), and two circles of the other
colour in the two rightpositions (‘twobedrooms’).
3. The cell on the left of the streak continuer (in
the big road) is empty, and the cell above that
empty cell is also empty. Thismeans the current
streak is now at least twohands longer than the
previous streak. In Chinese this is called
长庄
or
长闲
, which mean ‘long banker’ or ‘long player’
respectively. Itdoesn’tmatterwhether the streak
is banker or player, the key colour rule factor is
that it is long.
The colour rules simply state that for streak
continuers(inthebigroad),theresultofthenextsymbol
inbigeyeboy is red for‘connected’and‘long’, andblue
for‘one lounge, twobedrooms’.See figure7below (note
figures1 to6were inpart 1of thisarticle).

列至少要多出两手牌。这被称为长庄
或长闲。这条路是庄家路还是闲家路
无关紧要，关键在于它较长。
“路中牌”的“红蓝笔”规则是，“拍拍
连”及“长庄／长闲”在大眼仔上记为红
色，“一厅两房”记为蓝色，见图例七
（图例一至六在上期本文第一部分中）。
要注意大路是红圈还是蓝圈毫不相
干，因此我们在这里统一用黑色来代替
通常的红与蓝。
现在你了解了“路中牌”的“红蓝
笔”规则，可以学“路头牌”的规则
了。“路头牌”之后在大眼仔上添加的
颜色应该是假设大路中上一列继续的情
况下我们本应在大眼仔上添加的颜色的
相反颜色。请看图例八、九和十。

insteadof theusual redandblue.
Now you know the colour rule for streak
continuers, you can learn the colour rule for
streak starters. The colour tobe added tobig eye
boy after a streak starter is simply the opposite
colour to the one that would have been added
had the previous streak continued. See figures
8, 9 and 10.
