Casino operator SJM officially launched its new SJM Recruitment Center at a special opening ceremony late last week. Located on the 10th floor of the China Civil Plaza at Alameda Dr Carlos d’Assumpção, the Center intends to wholly support SJM’s large-scale recruitment in the future. With Hotel Jai Alai set to begin operations in the coming weeks and Grand Lisboa Palace, SJM’s integrated resort project in Cotai, to open in the first half of 2018, the company expects to hire around 10,000 new staff.
The Center covers approximately 5,000 square feet and is equipped with multiple meeting rooms as well as space for job fairs to help advance the efficiency of applications and recruitment. The Center also provides applicants with computer facilities to allow them to search and apply for job vacancies with ease and convenience. The Center is located adjacent to the SJM Performance Improvement Department, enabling close connection between recruitment and training to elevate the efficiency of human resources development.
Speaking at the opening, Ms Angela Leong, Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of SJM, said, “The slogan for SJM Recruitment Center is ‘Intelligence, Passion and Innovation’, reflecting our hope to fully utilize SJM’s experience and knowledge to embrace future challenges with positivity and innovation in an ever-changing society. To motivate and progress with our staff persistently, SJM will uphold ‘Growth, Rapport, Excellence, Agility and Trust’ as the principles for employee relations.
“Moreover, SJM has always been keen on promoting the recruitment of local talent; therefore, we have launched a recruitment website to facilitate local applications. Macau citizens may visit the website for SJM’s job openings from today and submit their resumes online. In the near future, they can also browse our recruitment information on Facebook and WeChat.”
