Although Newcastle helped embattled manager Alan Pardew enjoy a stay of execution with their come from behind 2-2 draw against Hull at the weekend, their woeful form in the EPL this season has been hard to ignore and after five games they find themselves winless at the foot of the table.
They couldn’t have found a worst time to travel to Crystal Palace either for tonight’s League Cup clash. Palace scored their first win of the season at Everton on Sunday in a confidence-boosting display and they’ll be hard to beat in this one.
