For those of us working in and around Macau’s gaming industry, 2018 already looms large with two particularly exciting new casino and hotel openings just around the corner. The year begins with a bang in late January with the launch of the long-awaited MGM Cotai. MGM’s second Macau casino-resort not only brings with it another 1,400 hotel rooms but is also said to be a haven of hi-tech innovation unlike anything else in Macau. Also due to open in the coming months is Morpheus, the new luxury hotel being built at City of Dreams. Morpheus is expected to represent the height of luxury with some seriously fine dining options and more gaming facilities at the higher end.
