Nestled away from the bustle of Macau’s bright lights, the three-decade old bakery continues to serve its signature treat, introduced by the founder himself, Andrew Stow, in a modest village shop in Coloane. The egg tarts are freshly baked everyday with original ingredients retained from the day Lord Stow’s Bakery first opened in 1989. Upon arrival, the store welcomes you with trays of the famed pastéis de nata beckon. The wondrous tartlets are warmly served, the flaky layered pastry is crisp and golden and the sweet custard is gooey with dark amber speckles bursting with flavor. Needless to say, one egg tart is never enough. Andrew’s egg tarts are renowned worldwide, attracting faithful followers and becoming a popular export for many visitors to Macau.
