The exhibition rooms on the second floor have different themes, including the history of the former Municipal Council of the Islands, a look back at agriculture and handicrafts of the old days and architectural features of historic buildings. It provides visitors with a better understanding of the modern political and economic development of Coloane and Taipa. On the Macau side, visitors can find entertainment for the entire family in the bowling and skating facilities in Future Bright Amusement Park, near the Camões Garden, where there is also an arcade game centre, a children’s playground and McDonaldʼs. The Future Bright Skating Rink is especially popular with teenagers and ice hockey teams but welcomes all ages and levels. No special attire is required, and ice skates are available for rental; visitors are reminded to bring socks, although these can also be purchased at a reasonable price. The nearby Casa Garden (owned by the Fundação Oriente) occasionally hosts exhibitions. Other must-see locations include the Camões Garden and the Protestant Cemetery next door. UA Cinemas, Macau’s biggest Cineplex, has 10 theaters with up to 1,000 seats and 3D technology. The Grand Theater includes four exclusive balcony boxes, offering the utmost luxurious and romantic movie experience imaginable, with popcorn and hotdogs on sale during the movie. For a special treat, moviegoers can also enjoy 5-star dining and service in the premium Director’s Club. Visitors have the option of either hiking by foot or taking a cable car to reach the complex which is part of the UNESCOWorld Heritage Site Historic Center of Macao. Inside the fortress stands Guia Chapel, originally established by Clarist nuns, who resided at the site before establishing the Convent of St Clair. Guia Lighthouse is the first modern lighthouse on the Chinese coast and has a light visible for 20 miles in clear weather conditions.
