APPT Macau kicks off this week

Written by Ben Blaschke

With APT Vietnam 2015 done and dusted, attention now turns to the latest running of APPT Macau from 20 to 31 May in the PokerStars LIVE Macau room at City of Dreams. The penultimate APPT event for 2015, this year’s schedule includes 13 Asian Player of the Year (APOY) events ranging from the opening HK$1,500 Deepstack and HK$1,500 KO Bounty events to the HK$100,000 High Roller.

The HK$25,000 main event kicks off at 14:00 on Wednesday 27 May hoping to build on the 494 players who took part 12 months ago. The APPT’s longest-running event was first held in 2007 and counts the likes of Randy Lew and Eddy Sabat among its list of winners.

A new event on this year’s schedule is the HK$50,000 Freezeout – a two day event starting on Tuesday 26 May that promises to generate plenty of interest.

APPT Macau will be followed by two ACOP Platinum series events in June and July respectively in the PokerStars LIVE Macau room before MPC23 in August.
