A culinary adventure at Macau’s Food Festival

Written by Ben Blaschke

The 16th Macau Food Festival kicked off on Friday and if you haven’t made it down yet, we recommend you take a stroll down to the Sai Van Lakeside one evening this week for a taste of some of the finest restaurant and street foods Asia has to offer.

WGM spent four incredible hours at the festival on Sunday night, sampling a range of cuisine from Macau, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and beyond.

All of them are impressive, but you mustn’t miss the huge gathering of restaurants and chefs from Sarawak – right along the lakeside – which have traveled to Macau thanks to the efforts of the Sarawak Tourism Board and Chef Goh Ah Seng, Chairman of Malaysia Koo Soo Restaurants and Chefs Association.

Aside from presenting some truly sensational food, they are also incredibly hospitable and more than happy to provide a small taste of their many incredible offerings.

The festival is tremendous value, with small dishes costing around MOP$25 to MOP$30 each, while a carnival games area is great fun for the kids. Worth a visit!
