Record numbers for G2E Asia 2016

Written by Ben Blaschke

G2E Asia celebrated its 10th Anniversary last week in style with the annual gaming trade show and conference seeing record numbers of exhibitors and visitors surge through the doors.

For the first time in its history, visitor numbers topped 10,000 this year with 10,984 visitors from 83 countries attending – an 11 percent rise on last year’s figure of 9,867.

There were also more than 950 serious buyers and decision makers, representing an incredible 43 percent jump on 2015 numbers, while the total number of exhibitors also surpassed 180 for the first time.

WGM observed last week that the pressure was on G2E Asia this year with the much younger but more localized Macao Gaming Show now challenging, but the feedback we received from exhibitors and visitors we spoke to last week was overwhelmingly positive. This can only be a good sign for the Asian gaming industry.
