WGM’s Best Weekend Bets: Fri 1 to Sun 3 Apr

We begin the weekend’s action in Argentina where the second race of the 2016 MotoGP season gets underway. We’re going to look a few days ahead here with an early prediction of the race winner. Despite what looms as another three-way battle for victory, we again can’t go past current world champion Jorge Lorenzo to get the job done after his impressive win in the opening race of the season.

Next it’s off to the EPL on Saturday for an Anfield blockbuster between Liverpool and Tottenham. Despite a 0-0 draw the last time these two sides met, their clashes have typically been high-scoring of late and we can plenty of goals being scored again given the recent performances of both sides over the past month.

Sunday sees Leicester continue their charge towards the most unlikely of EPL titles when they play host to Southampton. It’s hard to tip anything but a Leicester win here. Shrugging off the pressure of being in such an unfamiliar position at the top of the table, the Foxes have won four of their past five matches 1-0 as their stodgy defense continues to prove a tough nut to crack.
