After the debacle that was Spain’s 2014 World Cup campaign, the side that had until then been the dominant force in world football for the best part of six years has started to rebuild.
The fact that they’ve been handed an incredibly soft qualifying group for Euro 2016 will be good for their confidence and after belting Macedonia 5-1 in their opener last month they will be keen to take another significant step tonight when they travel to Slovakia.
A final decision on the fitness of striker Diego Costa is yet to be made but he insisted on being named in the squad for this clash and if he does take the field he will be hard to stop given his form for Chelsea so far this season. Spain to win.
