浪漫之夜，我会推荐庭园地中海餐厅，或贝隆蚝
吧及扒房。当然也不能忘记位于大仓酒店的「山
里」日本餐厅。可以说这里能满足各种口味和格

They’re really quite distinct properties.We have, as
you’vementioned, three. TheGalaxyHotel,which is
the largestwith1,500 rooms, complementedby the
OkuraandBanyanTree.OurOkuraproperty isabout
500 rooms and reallybrings a traditional, authentic
Japanese experience, complemented by its food
andbeverage, itsdécorand its touchpoints thatwill
reallymake customers feel nurtured in a traditional
Japanese style.TheOkurabranddoes thisverywell.
BanyanTree,which issittingnextdoor,has250rooms
andbrings a senseof serenity and sanctuary in this
urbansetting,which I think isverywell received.The
spatreatments, thepools, the1,000square footguest
rooms, therestaurants,wonderfulThai fusioncuisine,
reallybrings something to themarket that I think is
not inplace at themoment. So at the three hotels,
we reallyhave something for everybody.

Of all the restaurants thatwill becoming toGalaxy
Macau, which do you think is the most exciting
andwhy?

That’s really a difficult question when you have
over 50 restaurants. Topick your favouritewouldbe
challenging. Ithinkthebestanswer is itwoulddepend
onwhat Iwas coming toGalaxyMacau todo. If I am
comingwithmy family, I think theOasis Restaurant,
which isadjacenttothepool, issomething ideal. Ithas
averybroadandmorecasual spectrumof food, and
a barbecue on Sundaywith a lively outdoor dining
area. If I’m looking for a specialty, either theLaurel or
our Indian restaurantSpiceGardenwouldoffer some
special foods forthatoccasion.And if I’m looking fora
romanticeveningwithmypartner, IwouldsayTerrazza
wouldbe a favouritewith itsMediterraneanmedley
cuisine, or also theBelonBar andGrill, whichwill be
quite spectacular. Not forgettingYamazato inOkura.
So there is really something for everybody. And if I’m
wanting a coffee inbetweenmy gaming, I canpick
Starbucks or Pacific Coffee. There’s such an array, it’s
reallyhard tosaywhichwouldbea favourite.

Macau.What can you tell us about it andhowwill it
compare to thebeachatMandalayBay inLasVegas?

Well,firstly, it’sonahigherfloor,soyou’renotatground
level, whichmakes it something quite remarkable
with its view and vistas of the twohotel towers that
encompass it. There’s a full service restaurant close
by.Thereareotherdining terraces.There’saJapanese
garden.Sowehaveawavepoolsitting inthisamazing
resortsettingthatreally isquitedistinctfromMandalay
in bringing a sense of tranquility in southeast Asia.
However,onceyou’reontheresortdeckwavepooland
onthesand, itreally isa luxuryenvironment.Whether
it’schilled fruit juices ina lollipop, thecold towels, the
menuonthebeach,sandcastlemakingorTaiChiearly
in themorning, there is some careful programming
andalsoanopportunityto justenjoythewatersthree
storiesup.

Over theyearspeoplehave come toknowand love
the tall andbeautiful GalaxyAmbassadors through
seeing them in theStarWorld lobbyand throughout
the StarWorld property. Will we be seeing the
ambassadorsatGalaxyMacau?

It isdefinitelyasignatureofGalaxy,bothatStarWorld
and it will be at GalaxyMacau, and they will fill a
similar role. Theywill be at our points of arrival, so
they can assist anddirect customers, making them
feel warm, valued and welcomed. They will be at
other touchpoints,whether it is inour loungesorat
special events.Theyare trulyasignature, andasyou
pointout, quite stunning.

Once visitors have had their gaming fix, what
entertainment options will be available to them in
termsofbars, clubs, showsand so forth?

As you exit the gaming floor, which is very well
positioned and centralised, on either side there are
two promenades featuring some luxury shopping
on theone sideand someconvenienceandsouvenir
shoppingon theother, soanoptionwouldbea little
shoppingwith some entertainment along theway.
There are some bars that you can sit outside at and
enjoyMacau or you can be inside at theMacallan
whiskybar.You can takea littlemorenightlifeas the
day goes on, enjoy China Rougewhich is nightlife
entertainment with a special membershipprogram
or you canmove on to theOasis, which ismore of
amusic and entertainment place. Somany of our
restaurants andbarshavedifferent offerings andare
complementary.Whether it’sa little jazz,a littleCanto-
pop, you canmove around andfind something that
suits an individual’s taste at that time. Once again,
there’s something for everybody and it’s just going
tobesuper.
