2012 World Series of Poker schedule announced

The 2012 World Series of Poker schedule has now been announced. Once again the event will be held at the Rio all-suite casino in Las Vegas from late May until mid July. There will be an increase in the number of tables from 378 to 470, which will allow events to be held over shorter periods of time. This increase has also seen the main event reduced from four day 1s to just three. Main event day 1a (July 7) and 1b (July 8) survivors will combine for day 2a on July 10. Day 1c (July 9) survivors will play day 2b on July 11. The entire field will then combine for day 3 on July 12 and play down to the final 9 players on July 16. The “November Nine” is now an “October Nine” (doesn’t have nearly the same ring to it!), with the final 9 returning to play on October 28. The champion will be crowned on October 30.

As usual, I will be having a crack at trying to win this thing!
