The schedules for the upcoming Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau and the Macau Poker Cup (MPC) have been released with both series featuring more events than ever before.

APPT Macau will run for 12 days from 12 to 25 May and features 12 Asia Player of the Year (APOY) events with the HK$25,000 Main Event kicking off on 21 May. If recent numbers at MPC20 and the Macau Millions are anything to go by then there is a good chance that the 1,887 players who took part in the 11 events at APPT Macau in 2013 will be comfortably exceeded.

PokerStars LIVE Macau has been breaking records all year long,” said Director of Live Poker Events Danny McDonagh. “Players are telling us that they love these events and this is demonstrated in the huge number of players that are taking part. MPC20, the Platinum Series III and Macau Millions have all hit new highs and the team have every reason to believe that this will be the biggest ever APPT Macau as well.”

Highlights of the new APPT Macau schedule include a HK$5,000 warm-up with a HK$1 million guarantee and a HK$100,000 High Roller.

APPT Macau will be followed by the 21st edition of the MPC With 14 APOY events from 1 to 17 August. Once again the highlight will be the HK$11,000 Red Dragon which boasts a huge HK$5 million guarantee.

New to the schedule are a HK$80,000 High Roller and a HK$20,000 NLHE event on the final weekend. The Red Dragon begins on 8 August at 19:00.
