The Cox Plate is a middle distance weight-for-age race where some of the world’s best horses compete for the famous plate and the big bucks. I’m going to give Pierro another go. Hopefully, the jockey won’t butcher his chances this time around. Pierro would have been an even money proposition if he had won at Caulfield, so the 11/4 odds on him for this race seem too good to pass up. He should be better suited to Moonee Valley, so let’s hope he can get in front and hold on over the short straight!
