Big Jim’s tip for 3 August: Waikato Chiefs

And then there were two! Firstly, I have to take my hat off to the Brumbies who overcame incredible adversity to beat the Bulls in what could only be described as a thriller last week. It was a different Brumbies outfit that climbed what appeared to be an impassible mountain to the side that barely escaped with the win against the Cheetahs the week before.

So what Brumbies side is going to turn up against the Chiefs? That’s the million-dollar question but I think even at their best they can be competitive at best. The Chiefs have had the perfect run and beat a Crusaders outfit last week that was playing their best football of the season. So it’s the Chiefs for me to get the job done against the Brumbies in the final.
