Here’s something new – a GFG review all the way from Las Vegas! Peppermill Restaurant and Lounge is a Las Vegas institution. Located on the northern end of the Strip past Wynn, it has featured in any number of famous Hollywood films including Showgirls and, of course, Casino with its bright rainbow-colored neon sign impossible to miss. Walk through the front doors – particularly after dark – and it feels like you’ve been transported to another world. The purple and blue neon trim is best described as mood lighting although exactly what that mood is can be hard to tell. It’s unmistakeably Vegas. Take a seat in one of the restaurant’s booths and choose from the hefty menu, which includes all the usual suspects like Steak and Eggs, a range of burgers, Nachos, BLT, Chicken Caesar Salad and Buffalo Wings – all huge portions as you’d expect.
If it’s a drink you’re after, Peppermill has more than 60 to choose from including their signature, The Scorpion. This enormous 64-ounce monstrosity boasts six liquors and is recommended for at least three or four to share but of course there will inevitably be a few rowdy travellers determined to give it a crack on their own. Good luck! If you do decide to grab a drink, just make sure you do so while sitting alongside Peppermill’s famous fire pit which has an atmosphere very much its own.
