I suggest you find an EPL form guide. Read it, then throw it out the window because it doesn’t mean anything this year. Struggling superstars Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all scored crucial wins but as if on call both Tottenham and Arsenal failed to beat sides they were expected to stroll past! The Gunners are still on top alongside Liverpool with Chelsea in third but City, Spurs and United all have work to do to get back into the top four.
The NFL threw up some interesting results. Green Bay, San Francisco and Indiana were the big winners while the big losers were the Texans, Bears, Lions, Chargers and Titans who have have just made their seasons a lot harder by all losing winnable games.
The Roosters won the NRL Grand Final in a game which was simply breathtaking. Manly surged to a 10-point lead shortly after half time and looked set for victory but the Roosters stormed home to score a memorable premiership win. There was no shortage of controversy though with Manly copping a series of terrible refereeing decisions but also being wrongly awarded a crucial penalty try early in the second half.
Sebastian Vettel continued on his merry way to record another victory in Korea. The surprise package was the Lotus team who managed to secure the other two podium finishes. It’s great to see an old industry name coming good and adding two more credible cars to the Formula 1 grid.
