Wigan produced one of the great giant-killing displays last year to stun Manchester City in the final and lift the FA Cup. It proved to be a rare highlight for them as they were relegated from the Premier League just a few days later.
Although their form in the Championship this season has been up and down, they’ve taken their Cup defence seriously to progress comfortably to the fifth round and they travel to Cardiff this week looking to keep their impressive run going. While Cardiff City would also love to progress, their focus from here will surely be on the EPL where they currently sit 19th and will have to fight hard to survive.
