Pak Tai, also called the “Supreme Emperor of the North”, is a water deity who takes charge of the North. In the past, most Taipa residents were fishermen, so they revered Pak Tai and honored him with a temple and still celebrate his birthday with Cantonese Opera performances starting from tonight in a festive atmosphere.
