WGM’s tip for 16 June: Germany

Another first-up blockbuster today as Germany takes on Portugal with plenty on the line. This is a particularly important game for Portugal, who are desperate to shrug off the bridesmaids tag and stamp themselves as a true powerhouse of world football.

With Cristiano Ronaldo in the side, they certainly boast that ability but we tipped Germany to go all the way in Brazil in the last issue of WGM and although their form hasn’t been great in their warm-up games, they still boast a quality squad and have a habit of performing at their best come World Cup time.
