English giants Liverpool and Italian powerhouse Roma meet in an intriguing pre-season friendly at Fenway Park in Boston. These two sides met at this same location two years ago with Roma prevailing 2-1.
This is a much-improved Reds outfit though – even without recently departed star Luis Suarez – and they will be keen to give new signings Ricky Lambert and Adam Lallana a run alongside current stars Stephen Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.
It will be interesting to see if Roma fields their big name players in Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi. We have a feeling they will only see limited game time given their schedule over the coming fortnight which pushes us to lean towards Liverpool here.
