The UEFA Champions League enters the knockout phase this week and that’s bad news for German side Schalke who have drawn defending champions Real Madrid in the last 16 for the second year in a row.
The Germans will still be having nightmares about last year’s tie where they were thumped 6-1 at home then 3-1 away to be bundled out 9-2 on aggregate. Can they gain revenge? We highly doubt it. Real are riding a nine-gaming winning streak in Europe after cruising through their group and should again be far too strong here.
