Who could have seen Liverpool’s dramatic turnaround this season coming? After a horrible start in the Premier League and a failed Champions League campaign, the Reds have rediscovered their best form to remain the only EPL team still undefeated in 2015 as well as progressing to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Their impressive displays of late bode well for tonight’s clash with Turkish side Beşiktaş at Anfield in the Europa League. Although they topped their group ahead of Tottenham, Beşiktaş were knocked out of the Turkish Cup last week and the stats don’t look good here either. Liverpool has never been beaten by a Turkish side at Anfield with four wins and a draw – one of those wins being an 8-0 thumping of Beşiktaş in the 2007/08 Champions League. Expect more of the same.
