Fat Siu Lau has a history dating back over 100 years, having opened in 1903, and offers authentic Portuguese cuisine. This restaurant embodies the efforts of a few generations and is now in the hands of the fourth. Fat Siu Lau’s most well-known signature dish is roast pigeon. The chef selects plump and tender pigeons and uses an ancestral recipe to ensure their juiciness. It is accompanied with a secret sauce that further brings out the flavor. Another signature dish is African chicken.
The Portuguese brought this dish to Macau from Africa and oriental flavors were added by Chinese chefs. After being baked in the oven, the chicken is particularly tender and extremely rich. Other recommended dishes include curry crabs and devil prawns.
