The UEFA Champions League last 16 tie between Barcelona and Manchester City promised to be a memorable one but on current form it’s hard to see the English champions keeping their European hopes alive. Trailing 2-1 after the first leg, they face the daunting task of not just scoring a few goals but stopping Barca’s star trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez doing so too.
City have already defied the odds once this campaign when they came from the dead to beat Bayern Munich 3-2 and scrape out of the group stage, but a shock 1-0 Premier League loss to battlers Burnley over the weekend doesn’t bode well for the mammoth task ahead tonight.
