WGM’s Best Weekend Bets: Fri 3 to Sun 5 April

Friday Night Football has been good to us so far this season so we’ll stick with it for tonight’s National Rugby League clash between Canterbury and Souths in Sydney. Defending premiers Souths were shock losers against Parramatta last week and that should serve as a wake-up call having enjoyed a long unbeaten run previously. The Bulldogs will be physical but having come off two very tough games of their own it’s hard to see them matching the class of the Rabbitohs

Saturday sees another EPL blockbuster as Arsenal play host to Liverpool. Both sides have plenty on the line – the Gunners aiming to steal second spot from Manchester City and Liverpool trying to keep their Champions League hopes alive. What does that mean? Goals! Both of these sides are hard to contain when on their game and with so much at stake this should be quite the spectacle.

Finally, Tottenham continue their quest to stay in touch with the top four as they head to Burnley for a tricky EPL clash. Burnley upset Manchester City in their last home game but we can’t go past Spurs here and their talisman Harry Kane. Kane scored in his England debut on the weekend and will probably score again tonight.
