The AGEM Index – study of the stock prices of global gaming equipment manufacturers – has reported a strong start to 2017 with a year-on year composite index increase of 75.2 percent in January to 330.14 points.
It included a 2.8 percent rise from January 2016 and represents the 16th consecutive month of year-on year increases.
January 2017 saw seven of the 13 global equipment manufacturers report month-to-month increases in stock price, with Everi Holdings leading the way – up 35.94 percent from US$2.17 to US$2.95 – while Scientific Games rose 21.43 percent to US$17.00.
Ainsworth Game Technology was the biggest negative contributor, down 14.22 percent to AU$1.81 from AU$2.11.
