All the excitement of the US Open is now over and let’s hope that not too many players caught the flu after being drenched at Merion.
The Travelers Championship has secured a nice field with the likes of Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Freddie Jacobson and Rickie Fowler all having committed to this tournament. Let’s hope the luck of the Irish is alive and well this weekend as we get behind panda-loving Padraig Harrington to have the rub of the green in more ways than one.
The likable Paddy only finished a few shots behind Marc Leishman here last year and recorded four consistent rounds under 70 in the process. Those are the kind of stats I like to see.
