Monday night football is a godsend. After a weekend of great football action, who wants it to stop? After you hit the office on that miserable first day of the week, what better way to fool yourself into thinking that life has dealt you a good turn than kicking back with a cold beer for football on a Monday night. Tonight I am going to tip the Raiders to do the business at the line against St George, even though recent form would have you think that the Raiders are the worst team in the competition. Canberra is a freezing cold miserable place at the best of times, and on a cold July night I can’t think of a worse place for a visiting team. St George is trying to change their entire game plan at the moment, which is also a move fraught with danger. I reckon the mighty Green Machine will send the Saints back to the shire with their tails between their legs.
