A month is a hell of a long time in the AFL. It was only a few weeks ago that Carlton and Hawthorn were sitting at the top of premiership betting, and both have shown a propensity to crumble when it matters. The Hawks have performed better than the Blues, but both have had their fair share of dark moments. I am going to back Carlton at the line/handicap tonight for a few reasons. The Blues have had a much needed week off to get things right, and more importantly, to sort out their superstar captain and source of inspiration, Chris Judd. Judd is beaten up and will never be the force that he was in the past, but we will see a much improved version of the great man in this game. I also think that Jamison is excellently suited to limiting Buddy to a handful of goals. Lastly, the Blues must be desperate and desperate teams can be dangerous!
