This is the final PGA Tour event until the big one at Augusta gets under way next week. I love the US Masters so make sure you visit www.wgm8.com early next week for my preview. For now, let’s concentrate on the Valero Open where Ben Curtis finally etched his name onto another PGA trophy this time last year. Lead-up tournaments to majors always have a strange feel to them, a lot like the calm before the storm. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t find a winner. Matt Kuchar shot a fantastic 67 in the third round here last year and if he can replicate those heroics he will be right in the mix again. After all, our favourite “baldie” has been in good touch this year.
