We have another great weekend of sport coming our way. International rugby will see the All Blacks take on the Springboks, which really should have been the line up for the final of last year’s World Cup. The Springboks will bring everything as they take on their most hated enemy and this will be one hell of a game. The All Blacks should win, but I wouldn’t be taking the short price on the Kiwis. The Aussies host the Pumas in Australia. The Wallabies have always had trouble winning games against teams that they should beat easily and expect a big showing from the Pumas who are quickly adjusting to playing regularly against the world’s best.
In rugby league, South Sydney should be too good for Canberra, but the game between Manly and North Queensland is too tough to call. Manly were premiership favorites just a week ago, but all of a sudden they look like they’re in trouble. They’re going to have a handful of their best players sitting on the sidelines and North Queensland are looking good at just the right time.
In the AFL, Collingwood should be too good for West Coast, but the game between Adelaide and Fremantle is much harder to pick. One thing is for sure – whoever wins will have to face a Hawthorn side chomping at the bit.
The American football was full of surprises in week one but I’m sure we will get back into winning form this weekend. Apart from the Patriots who should beat up Arizona, the games could go either way. Look to back some underdogs and pick up a big dividend, but just remember to steer clear of the Patriots and the 49ers.
Good luck and good punting.
