Get on the Hawks. Hawthorn will crush the Adelaide Crows this weekend in what should be one of the best bets of the year. Even though the handicap appears to be quite big, don’t get scared off, they will win and they should do so with ease. Sydney v Collingwood, however, is a much harder game to predict.
Football fans must be licking their lips about Sunday. Two blockbusters in one afternoon – Liverpool host Man United and Man City host Arsenal. Both Manchester teams will start as favorites but I’m not convinced. Liverpool will be fired up to play at home against their oldest rival, and Arsenal seems to have found a way to score in recent weeks.
Even though the Ryder Cup isn’t on until 25 September, I thought I would mention it since it’s such a great event. It’s very hard to pick a winner. I usually get behind team USA but for once the Europeans seem to have more depth. I might put some money on a few head to heads and work around my favorite players to try to pick up a few dollars. All I know for sure is I’ll be watching.
The dust has settled in the new NFL season but this week’s list of games is missing some of the crackers we have witnessed in the first two weeks. There are, however, two massive matchups. The Texans will visit the Broncos and I’m looking forward to seeing what the boys from Houston are capable of in their first real test of the year. In the match of the round, the Patriots head to Baltimore to take on the Ravens. This is a replay of the AFC Championship Game of last year when the Pats just held on to make it to the Superbowl.
Good luck and good punting.
