English Championship side Aston Villa has announced online site Bodog as their official Asian betting partner for the upcoming season.
The deal comes after Villa, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, were purchased by Recon Group — a privately owned company controlled by Chinese businessman Tony Jiantong Xia.
In a statement, Aston Villa’s Head of Partnerships, Peter Wright, said, “We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Bodog. As the Club looks to engage with our rapidly growing Asian fanbase in more innovative ways, and enhance the Villa brand globally, this partnership feels like a natural fit.”
