Good Food Guide: Fat Siu Lau 3

One of the oldest and most famous Portuguese restaurants in Macau is Fat Siu Lau. Open for over a century, the signature dish they are most proud of is roast pigeon, made using a secret recipe that has been passed down to the head chef through the generations. Its presentation, fragrance and taste are very impressive. Other traditional Portuguese dishes, such as African chicken, bacalhau and Portuguese style fried clams have also been popular additions to the menu over the last century. FSL’s food has proved so popular they have opened two more restaurants. Fat Siu Lau 2 opened in NAPE in 2006, and Fat Siu Lau 3 opened in Taipa in 2009.

The décor at FSL 3 uses fresh green as its main color and adopts a European style. FSL 3 can hold private parties for around 100 people and is located in Rua do Regedor, the most famous souvenir and food street in Taipa, close to City of Dreams and Galaxy Macau. In order to cater to a wide range of customers, they also provide discount package meals so everyone can taste the authentic Portuguese cuisine.
