Costa is an area in the northern part of Macau peninsula, connected to the Zhuhai border in the north and the Red Market and Three Lights in the south. Most Macanese favour this area because the local food hidden here is delicious and cheap! Even the Chief Executive of Hong Kong has come to Costa to look for Macau local delicacies. Street food vendors are plentiful in the centre area of Three Lights. One kind of street food worth special attention here is sweet and sour gingered pig feet.
When it was opened 20 years ago the owner, Mr Fung, was certain this business was going to be unique and as it turns out, he was right. Fung Kee is also famous for its sweet and sour chitlins, pig ears and eggs. It sets the standard for sweet and sour food and is particularly popular with the ladies, as it is believed to help with blood circulation. There is always a long queue at Fung Kee, so you’ll need to be patient!
