Good Food Guide: Kwun Hoi Heen Restaurant

Written by The Panda

Kwun Hoi Heen Restaurant is a rarity in Macau in that it offers its customers the chance to feast on traditional Cantonese cuisine while enjoying sunshine and a beachside view. Located on the third floor of The Westin Resort, customers can relax next to the sunny seashore. Boasting new-style Cantonese cooking, the wok-fried conpoy with scrambled eggs is one of Kwun Hoi Heen’s signature dishes. The wok-fried Grouper fillet with organic celery in ka fai sauce is among the best of the restaurant’s seafood specialties.

Simple food purists should also try dishes like the sweet and sour pork with pineapple, which offers the crispy flavors of well-fried pork combined with a tangy, sweet and sour sauce. Vegetarians should try the braised assorted mushroom with bamboo piths in bean curd paste. Besides all kinds of mushrooms it also has wild black edible fungus, eggplant and delicious bean curd. All dishes are slow cooked to perfection and the taste is fresh and pleasant. Far away from the chaos of busy central Macau, Kwun Hoi Heen is a top choice for a relaxing meal.
