Good Food Guide: McCafé at Sands Cotai Central

Despite the Portuguese influence, Macau is not a town known for its coffee. As part of China, tea has always been more important and finding a good coffee is a challenge. But with Macau increasingly being known as an international city, more people are looking for their morning coffee fix. We here at WGM have found an unlikely hero in the McCafé at Sands Cotai Central (SCC). Who would have thought great coffee was to be found here? To be honest, some of the coffee at the other McDonalds around town is simply dreadful.

But SCC’s McCafé has proved a consistent winner time and time again. In fact we have never had a bad coffee here! They have all the usual espresso options and clearly know how to maintain their equipment – as well as pour a great coffee.

Don’t forget the free parking at SCC (said to be limited to six hours but we’ve got longer), and you can even pick up a discounted piece of cake or sandwich with your coffee. Yum!
