Good Food Guide: Restaurante Jumerador

Written by The Panda

Macau was a Portuguese colony for over 400 years and this has certainly influenced the cuisine. Restaurante Jumerador has been in Macau for over 30 years and is still flourishing. It opened in 1978, located in Rua de Candante Mata Eiveira, and then it moved to Rua de Pequim. In recent years, it moved once again to Av. Sir Anders Ljungstedt (behind L’Arc casino). The new two-story restaurant has an elegant and simple design, and feels relaxing and comfortable. The Australian beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce is their number one signature dish and is very fresh and tender.

The special black pepper sauce further enhances the flavor of the beef. Another signature dish in this restaurant is Portuguese bacalhau, and the chef has integrated local flavor into the recipe. Other delicious dishes include foie gras with beef tenderloin, sirloin steak and Macanese style baked chicken rice.
