Good Food Guide: Wonton Noodles

Written by The Panda

Next time you are near the Three Lights district and looking for some local eats, make sure you visit Wonton Noodles – a brightly lit albeit modest café. The menu lists Vietnamese food, which is great for those who love phở and fresh ingredients. Phở is a traditional Vietnamese soup comprising noodles made from rice flour, usually with beef or chicken, cilantro, green onion, lime juice and bean sprouts. It’s really delicious!

At Wonton Noodles, you must try the Steam Engine Phở, which is a big bowl of noodles with medium rare slices of beef, cooked beef tendons, beef balls, tripe, onions, bean sprouts and basil – all in a piping hot, clear broth. No wonder it’s called Steam Engine because after eating it, you’ll have the energy to pull a train! Of course, you should also try the wonton noodles. The noodles are fresh and the wontons each filled with two whole shrimp. The modest pricing will keep you coming back for more.
