Written by Ben Blaschke

Former Macau junket figure Huang Shan, who disappeared in 2014 and is alleged to have taken an estimated HK$10 million of investors’ money, has been found in Cambodia, according to the Macau Gaming Information Association (MGIA).

According to the Macau Gaming Information Association (MGIA), Huang was discovered after more than two years in hiding and has been relocated to Ha Long Bay in Vietnam where he is being held by creditors’ representatives.

His immediate fate is not yet known.

A shareholder in Kimren Group, Huang is accused of luring investors his way by offering significantly higher returns than other Macau junket operators – only to disappear with their money in April of 2014.

Kimren had operated VIP rooms in four Macau casinos – Grand Lisboa, StarWorld, Altira and MGM Macau – at the time.
