The Whisky Bar at StarWorld casino may be one of the last quiet havens in Macau. A scotch on the rocks, the company of a beautiful woman, a relaxed atmosphere and some soothing music will to help you forget about the rest of the world.
Now that the Sands has transformed the View into the Playboy Club there is one less venue in Macau with a relaxed and understated vibe to wine and dine a special girl. Galaxy’s StarWorld has always made a point of offering their clientele something different and refreshing, and the Whisky Bar does just that.
The Whisky Bar is on the 16th floor of StarWorld next to Temptations and provides an intimate and classy experience. The lighting is relaxed and this is not the sort of bar where deafening music kills the conversation. It is the perfect place for a good conversation with special friends or a couple of quiet business drinks.
As the name suggests, the Whisky Bar offers an incredible range of scotches, bourbons and whiskies from all over the world. Try it on the rocks, with water or have it straight as many connoisseurs prefer to do. There are far too many to list but one of the special items is the Macallan 1946 – a classic and limited Macallan Scotch, which is nearly impossible to find now. Whisky is not the only tipple though and you can choose from a wide range of international wines, beers and spirits that will suit any palate.
The Whisky Bar is also renowned in Macau for producing amazing cocktails. There is nothing more impressive than an exotic, well-presented cocktail that tastes as good as it looks. The Whisky Bar has received numerous awards from Wine & Gourmet Asia for their cocktails and little wonder since they have some of the most experienced mixologists to be found.

In most western countries with strict smoking laws this pleasure has been taken away but in Macau you can still enjoy a flavorsome scotch from the highlands, mixed with the unique taste of a hand-rolled Cuban cigar. Now that is really living!
When major international sporting events are played, you can expect to see them on the screens around the Whisky Bar, so this is a great place to watch sport in a low-key atmosphere while having a quiet drink.
If you want dancing girls, loud music and don’t care for conversation then the Whisky Bar may not be the place for you. If you are looking for a special place that delivers luxury in the way it should be delivered then you may have found your favourite bar in Macau.
