The who’s who of Macau’s VIP social and entertainment scenes…
Hollywood’s biggest stars have made a habit of visiting Macau in recent times and they don’t come any bigger than Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Icons of the action film industry thanks to blockbuster movies such as The Terminator, Predator (Schwarzenegger), Rocky and Rambo (Stallone), the pair were in town recently for the premiere of The Expendables 3 where they walked the red carpet at the Venetian Macao.
Also attracting a big audience was Cuban jazz legend and 10-time Grammy Award winner Arturo Sandoval, who brought his soulful tunes to the Venetian Theatre for a special one-off appearance, while Hong Kong diva Liza Wang performed her “Forever Love of Liza Wang” concert for her loyal Macau fans.
Comedy enthusiasts were in for a treat as MGM played host to veteran American comics Tom Segura, Chad Daniels and Pete Lee whose resumes include appearances on shows such as The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman and in Segura’s case his own half-hour special on Comedy Central.
And big time boxing is back with Manny Pacquiao and Zou Shiming spending plenty of time here as they prepare for the Clash in Cotai II on 23 November.
