Two people are dead and two more remain in hospital following what police believe to be a family suicide pact in a hotel room at Galaxy Macau’s Hotel Okura on Wednesday.
The deceased bodies of a father and son were discovered by hotel staff, while the wife and daughter were rushed to hospital unconscious. The family, from India, had each written out separate suicide notes before reportedly taking a quantity of unspecified drugs.
It is believed that the father and son had been dead for a number of hours by the time they were discovered.
In response to WGM’s inquiries, Galaxy said, “This incident is the subject of an ongoing police investigation, we are unable to make further comments to the public; but we are fully dedicated to cooperating with the police investigation.”
