Written by Ben Blaschke

Tak Chun Group has paid its staff a series of annual bonuses worth up to 19 months’ salary for some employees.

In a statement, CEO Levo Chan said Tak Chun was carrying out the concept of “Sharing the fruits with the staff” following a year in which it launched new VIP Clubs at Wynn Palace, the Parisian and Studio City. The company has also expanded its real estate portfolio across Asia.

“Although the gaming industry is facing challenges, the Group can still achieve great results in adverse circumstances, which is the result of the hard work and efforts of all the staff,” the statement said. “In order to recognize the contribution of the staff, the Group has given out three special bonuses ssuccessively.”

DICJ Director Paulo Chan said last month that around 120 licenses would be issued for VIP gaming promoters in 2017, almost half the 235 issued just four years ago. Tak Chun is one of a handful of VIP operators to have grown their business in that time.
