The year of the tiger: your luck for 2010

Chinese New Year means new beginnings, a time we can forget the troubles and worries of the year gone by, enjoy the festival atmosphere, and move into a fresh year with a clean start. At this time of year we’re all interested in how our health, fortune and luck will be for the upcoming twelve months. Luck plays a major role in life, and even more so for those of us that like to play in casinos and bet on sports and games.

Knowing that many of our readers are interested in the Chinese Zodiac, I sought out a master of the subject. After much searching I was eventually granted an audience in a secret location by a Zhuhai-based master of the Chinese Zodiac, Master Wang. He has consulted his charts for the upcoming Year of the Tiger, and shared with me his predictions and advice for each zodiac sign. Of course whether you believe Master Wang or not is a matter for you, but I can assure you the advice was given to me with much conviction.

Tiger (born 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974 and 1986)

This is the year of the Tiger, so it is your year.

However, don’t let this fool you into thinking your luck this year must be good.

In fact, it will not be as good as you might hope. You will have some fairly big ups and downs.

You should be quite careful with your financial affairs because you are going to have some big swings.

Try not to overspend when you come into money, because you can lose it just as fast as you won it.

This year, you shouldn’t overbet or play too many different games. Bet carefully and place some small, stable bets, on games you are familiar with.

Don’t overstretch yourself.

 

Lucky directions:	east, northeast and southeast.
Unlucky directions:	southwest and south.
Lucky colours:	red, white and yellow.
Unlucky colours:	grey and black.
Lucky numbers:	3 and 4.

Rabbit (born 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975 and 1987)

Generally speaking this year your luck will slowly improve as the year moves on, but it will be interspersed with sudden unlucky runs. You shouldn’t rush things this year, keep an eye out for the unlucky run. Your money signs this year are quite good, be sure to take some chances and make sure that you don’t miss any opportunities that come along, because they will certainly be there.

This is a good year to try some new games. You may have some pleasant surprises.

Lucky colours:	grey, blue and black.

Dragon (born 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976 and 1988)

This is not your lucky year. Your money signs are not bright at all. This is the year to save more than you spend, and wait for a really solid opportunity to come along. Unless you feel you are being presented with something really good, it’s best to avoid any high risk plays. This year, don’t play long sessions in the casino. A hit-and-run strategy might just work for you. Watch the clock and keep moving around the casino.

Unlucky directions:	north and northwest.
Lucky colours:	blue, grey and white.
Unlucky colours:	red and orange.
Lucky numbers:	6 and 8.

Snake (born 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977 and 1989)

This year there are some ups and downs, so you must be very careful with everything you do. The year isn’t bad for you, you will win sometimes, but your results will be choppy and you can expect some bad times too. Your money signs are not clear and bright, so don’t be stubborn and leave yourself trapped in a hopeless situation. Be prepared to walk away from a game booking a small loss. Remember a small loss is better than a big loss.

This year, gamble with small wagers and just enjoy the games you play. Relax and don’t focus on winning too much. Next year, your luck will change, and then you can try some of those big games.

Horse (born 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978 and 1990)

This year you have a lot of lucky signs. Even if you have some occasional bad runs, things always seem to turn around. You are one of the luckiest zodiac signs this year. Your money signs are very bright, so you should be able to make some big scores. This year is a good year to play hard, but just remember not to get over your limit. This is the year where you could really make up for some big losses in the past.

Sheep (born: 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979 and 1991)

This is your lucky year full of happiness and good fortune. Your money signs are great, and the profits will roll in. Your luck also extends outside the money area – other aspects of your life will work out well.

This year you can try playing any game you want, the more the better. It’s a good year to experiment and learn a new game or two. Maybe give poker a try. Just remember not to get too carried away, just because it’s a good year for you doesn’t mean you will win every time you play!

Monkey (born 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980 and 1992)

This year as a whole is not so lucky. But there are some lucky signs which might help you get out of trouble. You lose slowly most of the year but have a few fantastic winning streaks. Try to push those streaks hard and play small for most of the other time. To be honest your money signs this year are not in good shape, so focus on being careful and increasing your savings. This year, gamble carefully and waiting for what you think is a real opportunity to come, then hit it hard. If you bet the same all year you will surely lose.

Rooster (born 1945, 1957, 1969 and 1981)

This year your luck runs hot in both fame and money. You are the luckiest sign this year. Your money sign is very strong and there are always extra surprises coming your way. This year, enjoy your gambling, and you can try some big tournaments, you may have some big success. As well as a good money year, you will probably move up the social ladder and become much more well-known in society. You may win some kind of award or special acknowledgement.

Dog (born 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970 and 1982)

This year your luck is fading. Your money sign is not strong so you will experience more going out than coming in. You must gamble only with what you can afford, try not to play long sessions. Try to ride the year out as best as you can, good times are ahead of you eventually. Don’t lose heart; everything will work out for you in the end.

Pig (born 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971 and 1983)

This year I feel you will be very lucky. Your money sign shows great prosperity. However, there is an issue. You must keep your money in a safe place and not show it off in front of other people. This year, you can enjoy betting on all games. It is a good year to learn a new game. Just remember to be careful with your big wins, you should keep them in a safe place. You have been warned!

Hit and run will work for you. Be prepared to leave the table after making a small win. Keep on the move in the casino and try to exercise caution with each decision.

There is no point making your friends jealous. This year, you can enjoy gambling on all games, as luck is on your side. However, it is important that you carefully monitor your wins and losses.
