The latest ranking event of the snooker season begins today with the China Open and what better place to wake Ding Junhui from his recent slumber than Beijing in front of his adoring home fans.
It’s been a tough 2014/15 for Ding following on from his record-breaking 2013/14 but the China Open holds a special place in his heart given it was his first ever rankings event win in 2005.
