We were surprised by a number of occurrences in the third Ashes Test between England and Australia last week – namely Australia’s decision to bat first on a green wicket and their woeful batting performance that followed.
That means they head into this Test on the back foot, however they have received a huge boost with news that England’s most lethal bowler, James Anderson, has been ruled out with injury. Australia’s bowlers performed well as usual to limit the damage from their below par batting in the third Test and with no Anderson to rip through the Aussie batting we can see this series continuing its wildly fluctuating pattern with an Australian victory.
