The world’s best snooker players converge on Wales this week to battle it out for the latest rankings event title at the Welsh Open. There are at least half a dozen players good enough to go all the way in this one but the form line has us leaning heavily towards Shaun Murphy.
Ranked fifth favorite at around $9.00, Murphy offers tremendous value given his win at the Masters in January and a runner-up finish to Mark Selby at the German Masters a fortnight ago. Look to throw a few dollars Selby’s way too at around $6.00. He has been slow to regain top form after winning the World Championship last year but bounced back in brilliant fashion in Germany to claim his fifth rankings event victory.
